Aims of Module
The aim of the module is to explore and reflect upon, the principles, values and qualities which underpin humanising healthcare, to develop the knowledge and capacity to apply these aspects into practice and across the healthcare continuum.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Discuss and reflect upon, the values,principles and qualities which underpin humanising healthcare.
2 Critically appraise the values,skills and qualities, required to embrace person-centred compassionate care.
3 Apply the principles of humanising healthcare to enable innovation and new ways of working.

Indicative Module Content
Humanising health care principles and values, compassionate person centred healthcare, health, wellbeing, salutogenesis, coherence, meaning and purpose,empowerment reflective practice,new ways of working, Fifth Wave thinking, co-creation of health, resources.

Part time distance learning - directed study supported by tutorials, workshops and seminars delivered on-line.
