Aims of Module
To produce a research report based on a supervised self directed research project.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Critically evaluate (primary or secondary) data relevant to sports performance analysis.

Independently design and execute a detailed research study in a specific area relevant to sports performance analysis.

3. |
Analyse and interpret research data appropriate to the study question.
|
4. |
Synthesise evidence into a balanced discussion which develops evidence-based recommendations that can inform decsion making related to sports performance.

Indicative Module Content
The research process; theory development; application of appropriate research tools; systematic review; data collection and analysis; critical engagement with literature; ethics and ethical implications; methods of enquiry; reporting of findings and overall project as a research report as a research report.
