Aims of Module
To enable the student to apply sports performance analysis knowledge and skills in a professional setting and develop relevant interpersonal, organisational and evaluative skills.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Effectively apply specialist performance analysis skills in line with the objectives of the placement organisation.
2 Critically appraise the assessment and analysis tools utilised during the placement in the enhancement of sports performance.
3 Evaluate methods used to present findings of analysis conducted to decision makers within the placement organisation.
4 Critically appraise the impact of performance analysis on sports performance within the placement organisation.
5 Demonstrate a professional approach within the discipline of sports performance analysis.

Indicative Module Content
Series of planned workplace learning activities organised by the student between the student and the placement provider, in liaison with the module leader, suitable for achievement of the module learning outcomes.

MODULE PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTOR
Explanatory Text
Coursework will be assessed using a Grading Proforma and a Performance Descriptor will be used to establish the final grade. Continuous placement assessment will be assessed on a Pass/Fail basis.

A A in Component 1 and a Pass in Component 2
B B in Component 1 and a Pass in Component 2
C D in Component 1 and a Pass in Component 2
