Aims of Module
To explore the meaning and application of an occupational perspective of health within occupational therapy theory and practice.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critically appraise the value of an occupational perspective of health.
2 Critically examine concepts of health within occupational therapy theory and practice.
3 Critically appraise the multi- dimensional nature of occupation in relation to health.
4 Critically evaluate the application of an occupational perspective of health within occupational therapy theory and practice.

MODULE PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTOR
Explanatory Text
Coursework will take the form of a critical reflective learning journal.
Module Grade Minimum Requirements to achieve Module Grade:
A Student must achieve 2 at Grade A and 1 at Grade C in sections 1-3. In sections 4-8 you must achieve 2 Distinctions and 2 Passes.
B Student must achieve 1 at Grade B, 1 at Grade C and 1 at Grade D in sections 1-3. and 4 Passes.
C Student must achieve 2 at Grade C and 1 at Grade D in sections 1-3. In sections 4-8 you must achieve a minimum of 5 Passes.
D Student must achieve 2 at Grade D and 1 at Grade E in sections 1-3. From sections 4-8 you must achieve 3 Passes and 2 at Grade E.
E Student must achieve a Grade E in sections 1-3. From sections 4-8 you must achieve a minimum of 5 Grade Es.
F Failure to achieve grade E in all sections.
NS Non-submission of work by published deadline or non-attendance for examination

Prerequisites for Module Refer Regulation A2: Admission for admission requirements and/or course specific entry requirements. Professional degree in Occupational Therapy.
