Aims of Module
To provide students with the opportunity to critically consider future models for delivering health and social care for the future.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critically evaluate the role of workforce, technology and buildings/environment in addressing health inequalities, self-management/prevention and innovative service delivery for health and social care services.
2 Critically discuss the interactions between workforce, technology and buildings/environments for the delivery of future health and social care for populations.
3 Critically investigate and debate recent innovations in technology, buildings/environment, workforce and service delivery in the provision of health and social care services and their role in achieving the quality agenda.

Indicative Module Content
E-health; Recent innovations in service delivery; Methods to evaluate performance; workforce in health and social care; Creative solutions; Relevant government policy and guidance documents; Use of data; Behaviour change principles; Environmental design; Quality; population health; Audit; Quality Improvement. Considerations for optimising operational management prior to instigating strategic redesign as appropriate.
