Honours degree in Physiotherapy (or equivelant.) Successful completion of HSM122 Introduction to Pharmacology or equivalent.

Aims of Module
The aim of the module is to enable the student to develop critical knowledge and understanding of the pharmacology associated with medications commonly used in spasticity management in relation to physiotherapy and their safe and effective application.

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Mechanisms of spasticity. Clinical application of spasticity management in physiotherapy practice. Local and global acting agents. Dosage of agents. Mechanisms of drug delivery.
