Honours degree in physiotherapy (or equivelant). Successful completion of Introduction to Pharmacology or equivalent.

Aims of Module
The aim of the module is to enable the student to develop critical knowledge and understanding of the pharmacology associated with medications commonly used in physiotherapy pain management and their safe and effective application.

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Mechanisms of pain production Clinical application of pain management in physiotherapy practice Analgesics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, adjuvant medications.
