Aims of Module

The aim of this module is to equip the student with knowledge and skills to analyse and evaluate the principles underpinning behaviour change in relation to their own professional practice.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Critically evaluate theories of health behaviour change.
2. Critically evaluate the factors facillitating and inhibiting behaviour change.
3. Critically appraise a range of interventions designed to influence health behaviours.
