Aims of Module
The aim of this module is to develop student knowledge, application and reflection of teaching and coaching theory, which is adaptable to the coaching and teaching philosophy being applied within different environments.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critically evaluate theories of learning and teaching.
2 Apply learning theories to the design and delivery of coaching to meet population needs.
3 Demonstrate an adaptable approach to the application of pedagogical principles.

Indicative Module Content
Coaching pedagogy vs educational theory; Theories of learning; Theories of teaching; Reflective practice; Needs of specific populations; Population evaluation; Application of theory to practice; Creativity and innovation in the coaching process.

Module Delivery
Blended delivery comprising on campus and online learning and engagement. This will include Digital Learning Resources, Tutorials and Workshops.
