Aims of Module
To provide students with an overview of key skills used within modern sport facility operations and programmes.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Outline a simple business plan for an area of sport programming or facility.

Appraise and justify the importance of appropriate customer service skills.

3. |
Devise appropriate operational procedures and standards for "wet" and "dry" facilities.

Appraise the principles which underpin swimming pool supervision.

Indicative Module Content
Customer interaction to include basic reception duties, website, email and customer feedback. Market research, budgetary control, management strategy, business plan. Operational standards to include relevant Health & Safety documents including Normal Operating Procedures.
| The principles of lifesaving and swimming pool supervision and the application of supervision and rescue in a swimming pool.
