Aims of Module
The aim of this module is to provide the students with the ability to integrate relevant theory of group dynamic with practical application of a range of skills used in occupational therapy practice.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Evaluate the group content and the dynamics occurring within a variety of contexts

Demonstrate skills of product management and enterprise through the design, development and evaluation of a product or service

Indicative Module Content
Group work – group theory; basic group concepts and techniques; selection of activity; writing group protocol. Practical application – review theoretical models; experiential group sessions utilising a variety of media including creative activities, daily living activities, cognitive activities, physical activities, group reporting and observation, group leadership Enterprise project – product management; team building; designing; planning; producing prototype and evaluation of product or service

This is essentially a student-centred module with topics involving experiential learning supported by key note lectures and workshops

| Component 1 - Coursework consists of a reflective report on group work activities. The enterprise project will be assessed by a group mark awarded by staff, which members will be required to allocate to team members. In order to pass this module you are required to have an 80% attendance at classes.
