1 | Apply a systematic approach to critical analysis of literature. |

3 | Discuss the implications of research to professional practice. |

Indicative Module Content |
---|
This module will enable students to identify, evaluate and apply evidence to practice. This will include critical appraisal of the literature/evidence base, study design, methodologies, methods, data analysis and results/outcomes across a range of populations related to clinical practice. There will also be experience of practical study design, sampling, data collection, processing and analysis with subsequent reporting. Ethics applied to practice research and good ethical practice. Development of writing skills necessary to produce written appraisal of research literature and its application. |

Module Grade | Minimum Requirements to achieve Module Grade: |
A | To be awarded an A and a student must achieve a minimum of 2A's, 1B and 1C across rows 1-4 of the grid. Rows 5 and 6 should be at least a distinction and a pass. |
B | To be awarded an B and a student must achieve a minimum of 2B's, 1C and 1D across rows 1-4 of the grid. Rows 5 and 6 should be at least a distinction and a pass. |
C | To be awarded an C and a student must achieve a minimum of 3C's, 1D across rows 1-4 of the grid. Rows 5 and 6 should be at least 2 passes. |
D | To be awarded an D and a student must achieve a minimum of 3D's and 1E across rows 1-4 of the grid. Rows 5 and 6 should be at least one pass and one fail. |
E | A minimum of 2E's across rows 1-4 of the grid. Rows 5 and 6 should be at least 2 fails. |
F | To achieve an F you would fail to achieve the level indicated for an E but will have submitted work. |

Prerequisites for Module | Successful completion of all Stage 2 modules of either BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy will normally be required or equivalent. |
