Aims of Module
To develop the student's skills and ability to reflect on their own personal, professional and academic development and explore issues relating to quality healthcare service delivery. This module further aims to introduce students to the principles of evidence based practice.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Explain the need for reflective practice, continuing professional development and personal development planning
2 Demonstrate self reflection and the ability to set objectives for personal, academic and professional development.
3 Explain the principles of evidence based practice and valid and reliable measurement tools in healthcare research.
4 Identify the importance of research, evaluation and audit in relation to professional practice and improving healthcare delivery.
5 Demonstrate clinical reasoning and decision making in the context of radiographic practice and associated outcome measures

The module will be assessed by coursework. C1 major component and C2 minor component: performance assessed with a grading proforma. Overall grade determined as follows:
Module Grade Minimum Requirements to achieve Module Grade:
A Grade configuration C1/C2 - AA , AB
B Grade configuration C1/C2 - AC, AD, BA, BB, BC, CA
C Grade configuration C1/C2 - BD, CB, CC, CD, DA, DB
D Grade configuration C1/C2 - DC, DD
E Grade configuration C1/C2 - AE, BE, CE, DE, EE
F Fails to achieve the minimum requirements for an E
NS Non-submission of work by published deadline or non-attendance for examination

Prerequisites for Module Successful completion of all Stage One DipHE Radiographic Studies modules (or equivalent) will normally be required.
