Aims of Module
To develop the student's skills and ability to reflect on their own personal, professional and academic development and explore issues relating to quality healthcare service delivery. This module further aims to introduce students to the principles of evidence based practice.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Explain the need for reflective practice, continuing professional development and personal development planning.

Demonstrate self reflection and the ability to set objectives for personal, academic and professional development.

Explain the principles of evidence based practice and valid and reliable measurement tools in healthcare research.

Identify the importance of research, evaluation and audit in relation to professional practice and improving healthcare delivery.
