Aims of Module
The aim of this module is to provide the student with the knowledge to safely underpin plain film and digital imaging of non skeletal body systems.

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Indicative Module Content
Radiographic techniques for non skeletal plain film imaging, associated pathologies and radiographic appearances. Contrast studies, contrast agents, their functions, methods of administration and care requirements. Trauma imaging. Fluoroscopic imaging. Theatre imaging. Mobile imaging. Dental imaging. Mammography and breast screening.
| Health improvment and screening services. Radiographic imaging and care of diverse patient groups: paediatrics, neonatal, elderly, infectious, ethnic groups, physical/mental disability.
