Aims of Module
To develop understanding of digital skills in health and social care practice.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Understand and develop skills in digital communication and participation to provide person centred care.
2 Develop applied digital skills in the use of digital technology to share good practice.
3 Understand information governance and protecting personal data.
4 Understand factors influencing digital exclusion and inequality and approaches to resolve these for service users.

Indicative Module Content
Digital skills; technical skills, communication online, digital tools. Digital platforms in professional practice; teams, near me. Governance; sharing information digitally, safe practices, accessibility, disseminating knowledge and skills. Identifying digital exclusion and inequality. Personal digital identity - wellbeing and safety.

Module Delivery
Online delivery via the Virtual Learning Environment Campus Moodle and include online Tutorials, Seminars, Keynote Lectures and Digital Learning Resources.
