Aims of Module

The aim of this module is to enable the student to develop knowlege and skills in the delivery of chair based exercise.


Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Describe the physiolgical changes during the ageing process.
2. Outline the screening processes used to determine readiness to exercise in the elderly and the referal processes to access suitable exercise.
3. Identify and deliver, safe and effective chair based exercise.
