Aims of Module

The aim of this module is to equip the student with the knowledge and understanding of the principles underpinning behaviour change to support their own professional practice.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Explain the principles of health behaviour change.
2. Describe a range of factors which promote and prevent changes in health behaviour.
3. Explain a range of approaches that can be used to influence a change in health behaviours.
