Aims of Module
To provide the student with an understanding of the structure and function of the human body.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Describe the position and orientation of major structures in the body.
2 Describe the structure and function of the different cells and tissues of the human body.
3 Identify and describe the structure of the major systems of the body.
4 Explain the functions of the major systems.
5 Relate the structure to the functions of the major systems.

Indicative Module Content
Introduction to anatomical terminology. The structure and function of the different cells, tissues, organs and systems. The systems to be included: musculo-skeletal, central and peripheral nervous systems, cardiovascular, respiratory, and other systems: digestive, genitourinary endocrine and lymphatic systems. Relevance of anatomy and physiology to occupational therapy practice.

Module Delivery
Blended delivery comprising on campus and online learning and engagement. This will include Workshops, Tutorials, Seminars, Keynote Lectures, and Digital Learning Resources
