Aims of Module
To provide the student with knowledge and understanding of key pathologies affecting the different systems of the body. To provide an overview of the management of these conditions in terms of common investigations, medical management and the role of other team members.
Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Describe the pathological processes of key diseases affecting the main systems of the human body.

Identify and relate the clinical features of key pathologies of these systems to their pathological processes.

3. |
Outline the likely management of the key pathologies of the above systems.

Indicative Module Content
The aetiology, pathological processes and clinical features of key pathologies of the following systems: cardiovascular, musculo-skeletal, neurological (including psychological), lymphatic and immune, endocrine, reproductive, digestive.
