Aims of Module
The aim of the Shell Corporate Programme is to enable the students to acquire the knowledge and understanding, key transferable skills, higher cognitive skills and technical skills necessary for competent practice and lifelong development as professional engineers.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Achieve the outcomes in respect of knowledge and understanding developed in the previous Wells Distance Learning Package (Round II) as well as detailed knowledge of the specialist areas covered by this material within the context of Well Design and Engineering. These areas include: well engineering, drilling well control, casing design and drilling operations and management.

Explanatory Text
Students are required to have successfully completed ENM258 Bridging Wells Distance Learning Package (Round II). Such candidates, subject to sponsorship by Shell, will be awarded Credit under the University's Regulations.
Module Grade Minimum Requirements to achieve Module Grade:
Pass Pass ENM258 Bridging WDLP (Round II).
Fail Fail ENM258 Bridging WDLP (Round II).
NS Non-submission of work by published deadline or non-attendance for examination

ADDITIONAL NOTES
This module is specific to the Shell MSc Well Design and Engineering course for students who are entering through the Bridging route only. This module recognises Credit Transfer from students' study of the Shell Distance Learning Package (prior to the Wells Distance Learning Package [WDLP] course). This 90 credit transfer module along with ENM258 Bridging WDLP (Round II) (worth 30 SCQF 11 credits) equates to the standard course route where students undertake four taught modules: ENM250 Well Engineering (30 SCQF 11 credits) ENM251 Drilling Well Control (30 SCQF 11 credits) ENM252 Casing Design (30 SCQF 11 credits) ENM253 Wells Project Management (30 SCQF 11 credits)
