Aims of Module
To empower and enable practitioners to lead and co-ordinate the enhancement of teaching and learning impacting a range of stakeholders in a complex, changeable environment.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Demonstrate critical understanding of principal theories, concepts and principles of curriculum/service design and academic leadership.
2 Critically synthesise a range of learning metrics and specialist scholarly evidence to appraise learning and teaching practices at a curriculum or service level.
3 Develop evidence based enhancements to teaching and learning practices applying appropriate quality assurance and enhancement drivers from a range of diverse sources.
4 Strategically plan the implementation of learning and teaching enhancements involving a range of stakeholders in a complex, changeable environment.

Indicative Module Content
Scholarship, evidence-based practice, leadership in learning, teaching and assessment (LTA), change processes, quality assurance/quality enhancement (QA/QE), learning metrics, curriculum design, technology in HE, impact, evaluation.

Prerequisites for Module Applicants are expected to be practitioners in teaching and supporting learning currently working to deliver teaching, learning and assessment. Applicants would normally have fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
