On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Explain the legal constraints and obligations of the computing professional with respect to clients, users and society.
2 Utilise information gathering and writing skills to produce reasoned arguments.
3 Define ethical and professional behaviour with respect to working practices.

Key concepts are introduced and illustrated through the medium of lectures. Tutorial and laboratory sessions provide a series of exercises designed to develop career development skills and proficiency in searching library resources, web and databases to research information, present results and produce structured reports.
