| This module will enable students to explore the different stakeholder perspectives in sustainable development. Students will examine established models and practices to achieve sustainable tourism destinations and businesses. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to critically evaluate the practical implementation of sustainable practices in hospitality businesses and international destinations. | |||

| Indicative Module Content |

| The module begins by exploring historical background, growth and implementation of sustainable principles. It continues to address international perspectives and challenges to implementing sustainable practices at macro and micro level. Destination planning and responsible tourism are discussed with a focus on corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) in hospitality. Furthermore, measurement and promotion of sustainable operations in the hospitality sector are analysed. |
