Aims of Module
Enable students to demonstrate a critical understanding of the different life-cycle stages of entrepreneurial endeavours, including the particularities of Entrepreneurship in relevant management fields.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critically evaluate the fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship
2 Critically analyse and apply the three main life-cycle stages of entrepreneurial undertakings
3 Demonstrate a critical understanding of how relevant entrepreneurial management functions are generated and operationalised
4 Contextualise and apply the theoretical concepts of entrepreneurship to specific projects

Indicative Module Content
introduction to Entrepreneurship and overarching concepts like entrepreneurial thinking/mindset, opportunity, and motivation. Examination of main life-cycle phases of entrepreneurial businesses. Detailed analysis of main characteristics of each phase, including key strategic decisions, entrepreneurial management functions, activities, challenges, and risks. Translation and application of main entrepreneurial aspects to projects and more mature business functions.

Module Delivery
Face-to-face classroom methods (lectures, tutorials) are combined with computer-mediated activities. Paper and/or web-based learning materials, seminars, and/or online support, with group work supported by discussion forums. Emphasis is placed on an interactive approach to communication and learning, with student involvement fostered through discussions and group work.
