Aims of Module
The module prepares learners with an understanding of the impacts of revenue and resource management strategies on hospitality businesses. It enables learners with the needed data analytics skills for accurate forecasting and pricing models, and the needed skills for resource management.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Demonstrate a critical understanding of revenue and resource management strategies in the service sector.
2 Propose an effective resource development plan for a hospitality business.
3 Develop a detailed revenue management plan for a hospitality business.

Indicative Module Content
Forecasting trends, budgeting strategies, segmentation, effective yielding, revenue management performance, total revenue management, big data, resource leveling, resource utilisation, financial resources, human skills, IT resources, production and natural resources.

Module Delivery
Core concepts delivered through lectures. Supporting workshops developing the needed skills to use revenue management tools/software.
