Aims of Module | |||
---|---|---|---|
To provide the student with the ability to apply, evaluate and estimate concepts and techniques of business statistics. The students will learn the basics of using statistical methods in applications related to business and economics. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Assess the basics theory of probability and statistics and how it is applied to different kinds of hypotheses. |
2 | Evaluate the basic skills required for preparing and analysing business data. |
3 | Demonstrate the different concepts treated within the module with statistical software and Excel. |

Data and Statistical Thinking; Methods for Describing Data; Probability and Random Variables; Sampling Distributions; Interval Estimation; Hypothesis Testing; Simple Linear Regression, Multiple Regression Models. |
