Aims of Module | |||
---|---|---|---|
This 'Future Fit' module represents career / portfolio development activities. It provide students the opportunity to contextualise learning and reflect on different specialisms within the course highlighting the benefits of the interdisciplinary curriculum. This module is focused on student reflection of the requirements for a particular career path and the opportunities, skills, and outlook that will help them to be successful on that path. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Reflect on their planned learning and development and to consider this in the context of the different careers that their course may lead to. |
2 | Articulate the career path(s) of interest and explain the essential qualities or credentials that could help them be successful in those careers. |
3 | Document what learnings, projects, or other activities might be important to undertake during their course of study. |
4 | Articulate the different perspectives they experience in their modules and reflect on the value that diversity adds to their studies. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
Topics covered include, but are not lmited to, the following: Career Objective Setting; Employment Requirement Evaluation; Skills Assessment; Collaboration Dynamics; Communication Styles; Reflective Writing; Reflective Learning Models; Learning Styles; Delivering and Reflecting on Feedback. The module engages students with UNESCO's Education for Sustainable Development Anticipatory, Normative, and Self-awareness competencies in terms of understanding the values and evaluating the motives that underlie their actions, knowing how those will shape their vision for a more sustainable future. |
