Aims of Module | |||
---|---|---|---|
The aim of the module is to provide students with the opportunity to integrate Masters level knowledge and skills by independently producing a project on an appropriate topic from a degree related discipline. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Conduct an independent project based on an area appropriate to degree discipline. |
2 | Critically review available literature, research and knowledge to establish a clear academic context for the project. |
3 | Critically discuss the project outcomes in relation to academic and practical considerations in an appropriate, ethical and professionally oriented manner. |
4 | Critically apply relevant theories, methods, concepts and debates. |
5 | Reflect on the research process, displaying awareness both of the limitations of the project and any attendant ethical issues. |
Indicative Module Content |

Students will work independently to produce an extended research proposal or a consultancy project (for those in a workplace where a suitable project is available). |
