Aims of Module | |||

To provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate knowledge and professional competence in the technical implementation of a project addressing a commercial business issue. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Formulate a project proposal establishing the rationale for addressing the specific business issue/need and creation of a project management plan. |
2 | Demonstrate both primary and secondary research skills and the ability to apply Project Management methodology to a research project |
3 | Execute and deliver of project objectives. |
4 | Present recommendations from the technical implementation including post project review and lessons learned. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
The module requires students to undertake an applied consultancy project using business research methods and practice, negotiating a scope of work, developing a research proposal, data collection and analysis, preparing a consulting report. |
Module Delivery |
---|
This module is completed through independent work. To support the student an academic supervisor is allocated who through a number of negotiated tutorial sessions will guide and advise the student through their progression of the applied project process. |
