Aims of Module | |||
---|---|---|---|
This module will enable students to further develop critical thinking, understanding and application of research methodologies and techniques. During the module, students will critically analyse and evaluate the findings of research in order to undertake extended, independent research and communicate the results of the research in an output appropriate to the course of study and intended audiences. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Plan, design and conduct an extended, independent research project. |
2 | Critically review available literature, research and knowledge to create a clear academic context for an independent research project. |
3 | Critically apply relevant theories, concepts and debates in the analysis of the findings of the independent research project. |
4 | Synthesise information to effectively communicate the outcomes of the independent research project in a format appropriate to the intended audience. |
5 | Critically reflect on the implementation and relevance of management theory on a range of topics. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
This module develops the final research project based on the proposals completed as part of the Research Methods module. Students are allocated a Project Supervisor who will support the students in their literature review, data collection and analysis and production guidelines for final submission. |

The module is supported through tutorials during semester 1 and through individual meetings with the Research Supervisors during semester 2. |
