Aims of Module

To equip students with an understanding of project management and apply this to the digital curation context.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge about principles and strategies of project management
2. Identify key stages in the digital curation project management life cycle
3. Developing a project management plan for a digital curation initiative

Indicative Module Content

Effective project management, identifying and sourcing funding, costing and financial modelling, project lifecycle, stakeholder management, risk assessment, quality management, managing collaborative projects, reporting and documenting the project, project evaluation and sustainability.
