Aims of Module
To further develop the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for corporate financial management.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Critique the objectives of corporate financial management.
2 Develop the financial profile of a company through ratio analysis.
3 Examine the relationship between risk, return, cost of capital and company value.
4 Examine the capital structure, investment and working capital decisions of modern corporations.
5 Critique the income, asset and cashflow based valuation methods.

Indicative Module Content
Shareholder value; non-financial factors including ethics and sustainability; stakeholder theory; ratio analysis; risk profiling; capital structure decision; sources and cost of capital; investment appraisal; working capital management; income, asset and cashflow based valuation methods;
