Aims of Module

To provide students with the opportunity to undertake a piece of supervised, indpendent research into a topic of their own choice from the subject areas of accounting or finance.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1.	Conduct a comprehensive literature search into their chosen subject.
2.	Communicate effectively within a well structured literature review.
3.	Synthesise arguments and ideas in a manner which displays critical analysis of their chosen topic.
4.	Work independently with minimal supervision.

Indicative Module Content

In order to facilitate successful completion of this modules, students will take part in an introductory programme discussing literature review and presentation techniques.

Mode of Delivery

This is a supervised research based course supplemented with workshops and lectures delivered online. Students will be assigned to a literature review supervisor with whom they will regularly discuss progress.
