On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Develop knowledge of the legislation governing auditing and the regulatory framework governing audit and assurance. |
2 | Demonstrate application of theoretical knowledge of the audit process incorporating both financial and non-financial information. |
3 | Discuss current issues and the impact of technology in the field of audit and assurance. |
4 | Describe the process for providing assurance on sustainability related information. |
5 | Demonstrate understanding of key audit processes in relation to collection of sufficient and appropriate audit evidence that can be used to generate a robust audit opinion and report. |

Module Delivery |

The module is delivered in Blended Learning mode using structured online learning materials/activities and directed study, facilitated by regular online tutor support. Workplace mentor support and work-based learning activities will allow students to contextualise this learning to their own workplace. Face-to-face engagement occurs through modular on-campus workshops. |
