| 1 | Understand the historical development of the EU. |
| 2 | Recognise and explain the contemporary significance of the European Union. |
| 3 | Explain EU policy making, procedures, institutions, and the workings of the EU. |
| 4 | Understand the impact of EU decisions on the UK. |
