Indicative Module Content |

The roles, structure and powers of the UK government, including the Prime Minister and the cabinet; The roles, composition and structures of the House of Commons and the House of Lords; Devolved government, especially the composition and powers of the Scottish parliament and the Scottish government; The roles, structures and powers of local government in Scotland; The key instituions in the European Union; Electoral systems used in the UK governmental system; Political participation in the UK. |
