Aims of Module
To provide a comprehensive knowledge of different options for obesity treatment and weight management.

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

Critically evaluate the utility and limitations of different treatment interventions for weight management.

Critically analyse available clinical information and justify the best course of action for an individual.

Indicative Module Content
Dietary interventions, exercise interventions. Cognitive behaviour therapy and lifestyle modification. Pharmacological and surgical options. Weight loss maintenance.
