Aims of Module

To provide the student with the ability to investigate and critically appraise an area of current interest in chemistry.

Learning Outcomes for Module

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

1. Research in depth an area of current interest in chemistry.
2. Appraise the literature and prepare a critical review.

The student will study a selected area of current interest in inorganic, physical, organic or applied chemistry.

Mode of Delivery

This module will be delivered mainly through student-centred activity. Studies will be supported by directed reading, tutorials and keynote lectures (including visiting speakers).
