To provide the student with the ability to investigate and critically appraise an area of current interest in biology.

1. Research in depth an area of current interest in biology.
2. Appraise the literature and prepare a critical review.

Mode of Delivery

This module will be delivered mainly through student-centred activity. Studies will be supported by directed reading, tutorials, and keynote lectures (including visiting speakers).

Student performance in this module will be assessed entirely by a dissertation (4000 words). Each student will cover an independent area.
