Aims of Module
To provide the student with the ability to further develop skills through the study of architecture in a Partner institution.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Demonstrate further development of architecture skills in the context of a foreign culture.
2 Communicate competently his/her design intentions and argue rationally its qualities in both English and the foreign language studied as applicable.

Indicative Module Content
The module is delivered by a partner institution. Module content will be agreed with the host partner institution and mapped against equivalent Stage 2 learning outcomes at SCQF Level 8; this will be included in the learning agreement. In addition to studying architecture, students will develop linguistic skills through undertaking their studies in the selected foreign language as applicable.

The module is assessed on a pass/fail basis. The Module Grade is based on performance in Component 1 (Coursework) as detailed below.

Prerequisites for Module Completed 120 credits from SCQF at level 7 or equivalent.
Corequisites for module None.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The student will be offered a menu of lectures, seminars and studio projects and will be advised by staff at RGU and the host institution regarding a suitable course of study in accordance with their ability and experience. At least 50% of the curriculum should be dedicated to Architecture design studio. The European Credit Transfer Scheme (ECTS) or equivalent for Overseas institutions, which includes a learning agreement describing the programme of study abroad, and approved by both the home and host institution, will facilitate full academic recognition.
