Aims of Module
To provide students with the research, development, realisation and evaluation skills necessary for the contextualisation and production of photographic work in relation to emerging personal direction.

Learning Outcomes for Module
On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1 Apply conceptual, critical and analytical frameworks to a range of project contexts.
2 Select, analyse and apply appropriate professional, critical, contextualized methods to creative practice.
3 Demonstrate visual and oral communication skills in the critical discussion and presentation of work within a photographic context.

Indicative Module Content
This module is designed to expand and develop upon the practical experiences gained from previous study and experience and to develop additional skills in research, development and evaluation through creative use of art and design, photographic technologies and industrial links. There will be increased emphasis within a studio and location context towards the development of a personal language. Students will be introduced to visual and written material relevant to creative and contemporary photographic practice. Opportunities to participate in live or simulated client projects. Completed project work should evidence an awareness and consideration of sustainable themes in a manner appropriate to the context of the discipline.

Module Delivery
Studio and location practice based on a selection of diagnostic projects which could include class seminars and critiques; group and individual discussions and demonstrations. Live or simulated client work; presentations and the development of portfolio of photographic and/or written work.
