Aims of Module | |||

To consolidate research, critical and communication skills through a personal contextual framework related to, and imforming, the student's commercial studio practice. |
Learning Outcomes for Module | |

On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Explore in depth, personal critical and contextual themes relating to their commercial practice. |
2 | Consolidate self-directed critical and contextual research themes in relation to personal interests and practice. |
3 | Analyse and critique personal studio practice in relation to a wider range of themes and broader cultural context using appropriate IT/ retrieval methods. |
4 | Present documented evidence of research activity. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
The module will take the form of a critical report that informs and expands on theories and contextual themes encounted in the student's module, AA3103 Commercial Practice (Final Major Project). Students will be expected to use appropriate infomation retrieval and networked communication systems to research and submit work. |
Module Delivery |
---|
The module is tutorial and seminar based. Due to the individual nature of the themes, students will work in a self-directed manner. Tutorial support will be available and guidance will form an important part of this module. |
