On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: | |
1 | Critically evaluate the integration of risk management systems in a strategic context. |
2 | Critically analyse the challenges of risk management. |
3 | Critically analyse the role of Corporate Social Responsibility and ethics in risk management systems. |
4 | Critically appraise the development, implementation and role of Business Continuity Planning with regard to corporate strategy. |
Indicative Module Content |
---|
The critical examination of strategic philosophy in relation to the setting and continuous improvement of performance standards; the establishment and maintenance of an effective system of risk management; all aspects of risk management are considered including, but not limited to, health and safety, environmental and security; planning and alignment of risk objectives with other organisational goals. |
Module Delivery |

This module is delivered in both full time on campus and online distance modes. The module utilises a combination of lectures, work-shops, online exercises, tutorials and other student-centred learning activities as appropriate. Online students will have access to a range of materials and tools to facilitate their learning, including topic guides, online chats, Blackboard Classroom, exercises, group-work areas and discussion fora. |
