Qualifications
I studied at Aberdeen University for both my BSc (Hons) Biology (1979) and PhD (Immunobiology; 1982).
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Position
Lecturer in Immunology & Biomedical Sciences
I am the stage 3 Life Sciences senior tutor, ERASMUS co-ordinator for the University of Palermo in Sicily, Italy and have responsibility for the newly refurbished B11 cell culture suite.

Research Interests
My research career started in cancer studies and then moved to angiogenesis, looking at diabetic eye disease. My subject areas include Immunology, Cell Biology and Cell Culture (angiogenesis, cell growth factors, cell movement, protein isolation, diabetes).
I am a committee member of the Aberdeen Immunological Group and member of various scientific societies.
