Remote Access
IT Services provides an extensive range of remote access solutions for staff and students. The majority of these are WEB based and therefore require no additional software other than an internet connection and a web browser.
Citrix Thin Client
The myapps.rgu.ac.uk service allows you to access software and files whether you are on campus or off, and from a wide variety of devices – RGU equipment or your own.
The web address is:
Use your RGU email logon ID and password.
The first time you use this service, some configuration may be required.
There is an automatic process which guides you (click install and ok as prompted).

For Staff who require full and extended access to the university network we can provide a virtual private network connection. This extends the RGU network securely over the Internet to give full access as if at your desk.
