The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires public authorities to adopt a publication scheme which is a means of making information available proactively.
The Robert Gordon University has regard to the public interest in the information it holds and is mindful of the value of openness and honesty.
The University has adopted the model publication scheme for the Scottish Higher Education sector.
This is a list of classes or categories of information, which we publish and which are available free, or on payment of a fee.
Information can be requested in writing, or by emailing the University's FOI eMail address : foi at rgu.ac.uk

Making An Effective Request.
For further information about how to make a responsible, and effective Freedom of Information request please see the UK's Information Commissioner's Factsheet, “It’s public information” by clicking on the following link. Please note however, that the guidance therein refers to the UK Act, and not the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 per se which comes under the jurisdiction of the Scottish ICO. Neverthless, much of the advice is equally valid in a local context.
