MSc in Asset Integrity Management

Overview of the Course

A unique course relevant to those who aspire to competently manage and co-ordinate physical assets to optimum effect.
We combine theory with best practice for a pragmatic approach to Asset Integrity Management.
The course marks a significant advance in the delivery of specialised professional development, designed to meet the "real world" needs of industry.

All organisations who possess physical assets need asset integrity management. This course is aimed at the following industry sector:

Applicants working outside this industry/sector are still welcome to apply for the course. Core material is applicable across many industry sectors although potential applicants should note that case studies may be restricted to the oil and gas sector.

What does the Course involve?

In this course you study eight taught modules and complete a masters project.
Each module comprises approximately 40 hours of lecture material and tutorials.

A postgraduate Certificate, postgraduate Diploma or Masters of Science can be achieved depending on the stage of the course you complete.

Qualified professionals in asset integrity management are in demand by companies who are increasingly realising the cost benefits of employing a holistic approach to their business operations. They recruit professionals who know how to apply these principles to their own assets.
Typical students include graduates and those with relevant work experience who come from industry sectors such as Energy, Manufacturing, Transportation, Government and Utilities.


Entry Requirements

Applicants should have an Honours degree in Engineering or related discipline at level 2.2 or above. However those with other qualifications, but with considerable appropriate industrial experience may be considered. Students whose first language is not English should hold IELTS 6.5 before commencing study.
All international students, for whom English is not their first language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.5 OR its equivalent in TOEFL PRIOR to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.
Applicants should have at least 1 year of relevant post degree industrial experience.
