Welcome to Estates & Property Services
The Estates & Property Services Department provide an Estates service in support of a high quality learning environment to meet customer needs, with responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and management of all University premises and grounds.
The Department enables the available physical resource to respond to Faculty and School needs and plans future initiatives by considering and evaluating client requirements and translating them into physical being.
It also leads initiatives to enable the continuing improvement of the built environment to enhance the teaching and learning space to provide a competitive edge in the recruitment of staff and students, whilst also aligning itself with the wish of the University to be seen as both 'new' and 'contemporary'.
The Department has the following aims:
- To deliver the physical resources to meet the strategic objectives of the University
- To give an efficient and effective customer orientated service
- To be an open, approachable, consultative and professional department
- To promote a safe and physically attractive environment for University staff, students and visitors, within the framework of the University's strategic plan and available resources
We are committed to ensure that the Estates & Property Services staff, contractors and consultants it employs are effective in providing the best possible service to the University and its customers.
We work in partnership with individuals, Departments and organisations to continually refine and improve these services.
