I have my bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech.) and masters in Optoelectronics & Laser Technology (M.Tech.). After completing my Ph.D. in the area of optical instrumentation in 2001, I joined as a postdoctoral fellow in University of Twente, The Netherlands in an EU funded project ‘PAMELA’ to work on ‘Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) based imaging of bio-chemical interactions in biochips’. In 2003, I moved to The Robert Gordon University, UK to work on NCR Financial Solutions Group Ltd, Dundee funded project on ‘Multi-channel fluorosensor development for security labelling/encoding applications’. Areas of my research interest include optical sensors, optical imaging, Lasers, Thinfilms, Lab-on-a-chip and electronic instrumentation.
